Touch ID is a modern way to secure an iPhone with fingerprint as a passcode. This button is present below the home screen. The Touch ID instantly reads your fingerprint and automatically unlocks your iPhone. It is doesn’t matter from which you are touching Touch ID button because it is capable of 360-degree readability.
It also provides authorization in order to purchase from iTunes, App store and iBook Store.
Why it is so famous?
There are two reasons for this is so famous- First, You would not need to enter a passcode as you can do it like texting. As Apple said, our finger is more secure option and it is more convenient than swiping your iPhone to unlock and secondly it is providing more secure option for your digital life as well as physical life.

How can you manage Fingerprints and Settings?
User Settings > General > Passcode & Fingerprint > Fingerprints to:
- Enable or disable Touch ID for Passcode or iTunes, App Store and iBook Store.
- Register new fingerprints.
- Knock Edit to rename your existing fingerprints.
- Swipe to delete a fingerprint.
- If you have more than one fingerprint enrolled, you can touch a finger to the Home button to see the fingerprint to which it is linked in the list. If your finger matches, that finger on the list will be briefly highlighted.
